Ingredient Notes

Ingredients needed for banana bread with no sugar and no flour.

Mashed banana. The riper the bananas the better! You’ll need about 2 large bananas for this recipe.

Granulated monk fruit. This natural calorie free sweetener tastes amazingly like sugar when you use it in baked goods. If you prefer, you can swap it for your other favorite sugar substitute.

Almond flour. Not to be confused with almond meal (which has a grainer texture), this nut flour is fine with a pale color. It gives the banana bread the perfect light crumb!

Easy Instructions

To make sugar free Banana Bread, start by beating mashed banana with eggs, monkfruit and vegetable oil.

Next, you’ll add vanilla, cinnamon, salt and baking powder. Stir in the almond flour until just combined.

Transfer one third of the batter to a separate bowl. Stir in cocoa powder.

Pour half of the plain batter into a buttered loaf pan. Spoon the chocolate banana bread batter on top. Add the remaining plain batter on top of that.

Bake for about 50 minutes, until baked through.

Tips and Tricks

  • Let the Banana Bread cool completely before slicing and serving. If it’s still warm, it’ll break apart when you try to slice it.
  • For more chocolate flavor, add another tablespoon of cocoa powder to the chocolate batter.
  • Chopped pecans or walnuts would be a delicious addition to this bread!
